Content Outline for the Upcoming Session – Navajo Customs


To commence this session we will explore the true Navajo’s legend about death followed by an explanation of traditional burial customs. We will then venture into how the body is prepared for a proper Navajo burial and why sand paintings are significant. This will directly lead us into the evolution of the Navajo sand paintings and their star/rainbow symbolism. We will conclude by analyzing the sand painting’s power and its focus on energy.
