Complimentary Demonstration – Flint Napping

Dr. George F. Daman will be offering a complimentary demonstration on flint napping Oct. 27 at 7pm. This evening will be a general conclusion for the series and a hands-on learning experience for all.

Flint is a form of quartz (silicon dioxide) which is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth. Prehistoric man kept no written records of how he worked with flint and sadly enough it almost became a lost art. However, through the efforts of modern flint workers the art is alive and well and the archeological record is being enriched by it.
