“Haltun” is a
fast-paced action story that takes place in modern day Belize. Anna Montgomery, the lead archeologist takes
her team down there to excavate Altun Ha and runs into more trouble than she
originally expected. Being chased by the
local natives, captured by modern-day pirates and left for dead on a desolate
island was only the beginning for Anna and her team of archeologists. This audio book is a work of fiction but was
inspired directly from the author’s time spent working with her team in Belize.
In the summer
of 2012, the author, Linsey A. Daman and her team, the Cultural Arts Center of
St. Louis, went to Belize to aid, give back and work in some of the
impoverished elementary schools. It was
from this volunteerism mission that led her to write this book and many more. Linsey’s time spent in Belize is something
she can never forget as it was very rough on many levels. Despite the harsh terrain, poisonous animals
and dangerous living quarters, Linsey made it through this experience and now
brings you this book “Haltun” in memory of her time spent in Belize. This audio book is dedicated to the
impoverished children of Belize. © Copyright 2013. All Rights Reserved.
“The Mayan Sword” is a Mesoamerican hero myth based on the
lord of the forest, Yum Kaax, and the legendary bird demon, Vucub Caquix. He plans on eliminating the sun and darkness
will sweep over allowing demons from the old world to return and wipe out
mankind’s existence. As they race
against time with the next solar eclipse fast approaching only Yum Kaax can intercede
on the bird demon’s master plan to eradicate all human life forms. We only hope there is enough time before the
sun and all of its bright rays become nothing more than a mere memory.
This audio book is a work of fiction; another Mayan themed
short story inspired by the author’s trip to Belize in 2012. © Copyright 2013. All Rights Reserved.
