An Educational and Informative Book!
“Seven Years to Seven Figures” by Michael Masterson is a
wonderful book for those starting their career because the main message is
delivered with an encouraging and uplifting tone. The author says that any one of us can be
successful in the work arena but each case is different and there is no
one-size-fits-all rule for becoming financially wealthy. However; he does suggest that entrepreneurialism,
good investments in the stock market and real estate are three solid factors
that have contributed to a great financial increase for some individuals but
again these three factors don’t hold true for every case. In this book, both sides of the coin are
examined such as being an employee vs. being your own boss. Michael strongly recommends entrepreneurialism and I would honestly have to agree being a small business owner. This book is a great starting point which
asks you to question, research and continue developing your professional
goals. After listening to this book, I
honestly felt more on track and was happy to hear that I’ve been doing
everything right with my company’s plan of action. The author strongly stresses the importance
of priorities for your business and life.
With priorities sometimes comes sacrifice but if you want to be a
successful business owner; there is a small price to pay to obtain the bigger
prize in the future. It was a delight to
hear a professional in the finance field saying the same things I’ve been
saying for years. Should your company
produce lots of little things for small prices or should your company hold out
for the larger and more money-making products?
Agreeing with the author, sometimes the risky part of being
self-employed is the doubt and worry that your idea, product or service will be
successful. However, once you get over the
doubt and worry and actually do sell that product; then you will see how much
more successful you are being as an employer vs. an employee. It’s a very difficult question for most
people and by and large most people aren’t willing to give up steady income to
make a risky move in the stock market or be their own boss. However, each person’s case is unique and no
matter where you are starting, in the middle or retiring; I would highly
recommend this book for those looking to succeed in the financial arena. Hopefully my book review has helped you see
