Flamenco Fusion – Gypsy Style

Creolization of the Bayou 2012

Tue. Feb. 28^th – Linsey A. Daman, Artistic Director, Cultural Arts Center of St. Louis, LLC presented “Creolization of the Bayou” for Black History Month. The picture below demonstrates Linsey speaking about the slave trade and how different aspects of African religions came to the New World. The second picture is showing modern day New Orleans and the creolization we have witnessed in the Bayou.

Tropical Christmas Brought to St. Louis

Artistic Director, Linsey A. Daman explains holiday advertising and Christmas marketing techniques found commonly in French culture. The basis of this lecture was about the French Caribbean and how Christmas/Seasonal Holidays are a part of their culture and religion.

Hispanic Festival - 2011 (Soldiers Memorial Park)

Our cultural group had a wonderful time at the Hispanic Festival (Soldiers Memorial Park) on Sept. 17^th at 10am. The Ecuadorian handicrafts and clothing were a hit again this year. The Ecuadorian booth is our group’s favorite part of the festival each year; it would not be a complete festival without Ecuadorian clothing and handicrafts.

Québec City, Canada

Thursday, Sept. 8^th, 2011, Artistic Director, Cultural Arts Center of St. Louis, LLC, Linsey A. Daman presented a speech about Québec City, Canada. This is a picture of her explaining the cable cars over Montmorency Falls on the Montmorency River in Québec, Canada. It is a very short ride to the top where you can find a nature museum and restaurant.
